Cultural journey in Europe
Europe is a cultural bomb, where big cities are packed with monuments and deserted areas hide historical stories. The European countries all represent a bit of the plot of the past, which has shaped today’s fantastic Europe enormously. Whether you’re traveling to Italy’s colorful vineyards or through Switzerland’s white-topped Alps, you’ll probably be eyeing a Europe you did not yet know.
Visit our friends, Marinella and Angel, in Sicily. From here you can let the trip go to Taormina, which throughout history has been part of the Roman Empire, Arab rule and under Norman rule. In Venice you can go on a treasure hunt in the narrow streets or let the gondolier pave our way through the slender canals from which we can glimpse the golden domes of St. Mark’s Church.
Trekking in Europe
Hiking holidays in Europe are very obvious due to the mild weather conditions. Take, for example, Tourist Travel on a trek through Ireland’s lush Wicklow Mountains. We cross the green landscape and hike among rolling mountains in deep valleys. We like to go on a trek in the footsteps of JB Malone. The legendary wanderer set Ireland’s first official trekking route.
Europe’s wild volcanic island, Sicily, is also an obvious place to strap on your hiking boots. If you have the courage for a 7-8 hour trek, we can reach the possible peak of wild Etna. The many buttonhole craters testify that Etna is a bubbly lady. Here the lava has pushed its way through the robust rock wall. Iron, sulphate and copper color the solidified lava in beautiful colors, creating a contrast to the surrounding landscape.
Mountaineering in Europe
It’s easy to think that you have to travel through a completely flat landscape when the destination is Europe. But that is far from the reality. With Tourist Travel you can go on summit trips to some of Europe’s most beautiful mountain passes. We often set course for the amazing Caucasus, where Mt. Elbrus is the big star. Here we move through a mountain pass packed with beautiful mountain lakes and alpine areas.
You can also take part in mountaineering in Europe, where the trip goes to the cyclists’ paradise, Mont Blanc. But instead of enjoying the view from an iron horse, we take every mile in our legs and move at a steady pace to the tops. In Sveriges Kullen we often go on weekend trips to practice technique in climbing. This is a great opportunity for preparation before trying your hand at the big peaks.
Painting trips in Europe
According to Countryaah.com, Europe is idyllic and picturesquely beautiful. The countries in the south in particular have a natural backdrop that makes it difficult for any artist to put the brushes away. Every year we go on a series of fantastic painting trips to Europe. For example, travel to Spain’s white city, Ronda, where we find a wealth of motifs – both in the landscape and in the architecture.
In Seguret, France, we have been traveling to the same accommodation for years. Here we find a completely unique water tower from the 13th century. The tower has been rediscovered by Arthur Langlet who together with other artists renovated the place and made it a fantastic place to visit for artists around the world. Here is a workshop for free use and in the surrounding area, inspiration flourishes.
Train travel in Europe
Do you want to turn down the flights? Then a train journey through beautiful Europe is a great opportunity for you. At Tourist Travel, we have a range of regular European train journeys that take you through an enchanting landscape and to unique destinations. Then sit back in the 1st class seat. We always travel with high-speed trains and keep routes for as long as possible for less than five hours.
Our European train journeys are all different, but the view from the compartment is always a sure winner. Tril, for example, through the alpine landscape of Switzerland, where the snow-capped peaks fill the landscape and contrast with the lush nature and the ice blue sky. The final destination can be, for example, beautiful Venice or the volcanic island of Sicily.
